For thousands of years, God's family could be traced from one lineage--the people of Israel, descended from Abraham. The Woman at the Well

During His travels through Samaria, Jesus met a woman who was drawing water in the heat of the day. He struck up a far-ranging conversation with her that touched on worship, family, and who He was. When Jesus revealed His knowledge of her husbands and romantic relationships, her reaction showed that He had touched a nerve. With gentleness, patience, and love, Jesus drew the woman close to Him as she was drawing the water.
