Moses
I walked with God, child,
from Egypt and back
and out once again with
my miracle staff.
A basket of reeds,
a bush all a-glow,
the Red Sea just parted,
a snake on a pole.
A mountain trembled
with lightning and smoke,
two tablet commandments
in anger I broke.
Miracles, wonders,
and teachings I gave
to the people of God,
that they may be saved.
Oh,
Please walk with God, child!
Who knows who you’ll lead
out of captivity,
into belief?
Oh,
Please walk with God, child,
your face all a-glow,
meeting with God, child,
His glory to show.
