Description

In the book of Proverbs, the Holy Spirit has included a grand tribute to a woman who epitomizes godliness in her role in her family’s life.  This painting displays many of the elements of the passage.  In this visual tribute, four women are depicted, each representing a praiseworthy action found in Proverbs 31: saving money and purchasing land, being like merchant ships as she provides for her family, making meals, and being skilled with fiber arts and clothing.  Her arms are strong for her work and her lamp never goes out.  She can laugh at tomorrow because she has worked diligently today; she has provided for her family’s needs with clothes of scarlet.  Her husband receives praise in society because of the goodness of his wife.
