Description

This artwork is a visual depiction of Psalm 139 in which we get a view of God’s perspective on the formation of each person in his or her mother’s womb.  The Psalmist says that God created his inmost being, knitting him together in his mother’s womb.  He is made with glory and splendor, being fearfully and wonderfully made.  Though unformed and hidden from human view (as if in the depths of the earth), God saw his frame as it was woven together.  Just as we employ an ultrasound image to see the inhabitant of the womb, the ultrasound in this image represents God’s view of our hidden future–a future that is not unknown to Him.  All the days of our lives are known by the Lord before one of them comes to pass.
