The Fiery Furnace

In the book of Daniel we read of three of Daniel’s friends, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and their faithfulness in the midst of life-threatening peril.  But the story is not just about their bold stance for the God of Israel–it is a story of God’s amazing closeness, protection, and intercession on their behalf!  When King Nebuchadnezzar sees the miraculous way that the three faithful young men are spared, he could not help but extol the glories of the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.
