Esther

Esther’s pivotal role in Israel’s history cannot be understated; indeed, her story is so important that it is still celebrated to this day!  This painting recounts portions of that narrative, from the salon-esque beauty lotions that depict her rise to royalty, to the king’s edict that unknowingly condemned her people and the swords by which they were allowed to fight back against their enemies.  Esther’s faith in God’s deliverance and the people’s humble fasting and prayer are testimonies that endure as examples for us to follow even now.
